    Bushing Removal Procedure

    1. Mark (scribe) the orientation of the bushing on both the suspension beam tube and compression tube.

    2. Alignment of spring pin holes is not required during removal.

    3. Assemble the remover plate, threaded rod, washers, and thrust bearing. Tighten the retaining nuts to remove slack.

    4. If the bushing is seized, attach the hydraulic reaction adapter.

    5. Connect a hydraulic power unit and begin pressing the bushing out.

    6. After each 2" hydraulic stroke, re-tighten the nuts to remove slack. Most bushings will require 3–4 adjustments.

    Bushing Installation Procedure

    1. Apply EP grease to the bushing and all tool contact surfaces.

    2. Insert the new bushing into the compression cylinder.

    3. Place the front drive (installer) plate on the bushing, aligning the mark on the bushing with the installer plate's mark.

    4. Ensure the 4 guide pins fully seat into the bushing's notches.

    5. Tighten the retaining nuts to remove slack. Use hydraulic adapter if extra force is required.

    6. Verify that alignment marks are still matched and pins are engaged.

    7. Begin installation using the hydraulic system.

    8. Re-tighten the nuts after each 2" stroke. Typically requires 3–4 cycles.
